Belo Horizonte Lingfield Neil Callan

“The Hat Trick”

Another great week at Sefton Lodge – the highlight once again being Belo Horizonte in bringing up our first hat trick at Lingfield on Wednesday, under another perfect ride from Neil Callan. Amazingly he heads back to Lingfield on Wednesday to attempt the four timer.

Whilst Belo was our only winner last week, from just seven runners we also had a couple of seconds. Run Boy Run ran a cracker from a bad draw at Chelmsford on Thursday – he will now head to Doncaster for the £300k sales race. Two Tribes also finished second at Chelmsford on Saturday by the narrowest of margins – his next outing could also be at Doncaster in the Nursery. Earlier on Saturday Revich bounced back to form finishing third in a valuable handicap at Chester meaning we were in the placings on four occasions from just seven runners!

Away from the race track last week we had a successful sales excursion to Doncaster acquiring seven yearling colts with fantastic assistance from Antony Bromley. This sale in particular has been very lucky for us having previously acquired Rajasinghe, Rumble Inthe Jungle and of course Cockney Rebel. We will head to Tattersalls on Tuesday to try and build on next year’s team.

This week we start on Monday at Windsor with big expectations of Fool’s Gold in the Maiden. A lovely horse that slightly disappointed first time out when the preliminaries all got the better of him.

Tuesday – no runners and we will be at Tattersalls sales to try and build on next year’s team.

On Wednesday Bodygroove and Belo Horizonte head to Lingfield.

Sweet Harmony heads to Salisbury on Thursday in search of a bit of Black Type. Elsewhere the Racing League makes it penultimate stop at Wolverhampton and we have made a team of horses available to Team Captain Kevin Blake and Team Ireland in their attempt to win the tournament – Suicide Blonde, Pjanoo, Space Cowboy, Wonderwall, Waiting All Night and The City’s Phantom.

On Friday we head to Ascot with Give It up, Dandy Maestro and Waiting All Night and then onto Kempton for Ivory Madonna before Keyser Soze wraps up our week at Kempton on Saturday.
