“Beautiful Horizon”

Belo Horizonte got last week off to a cracking start for the team at Lingfield on Monday with a successive comfortable victory under Neil Callen. An unfortunate event at the starting stalls at Chelmsford on Thursday halted his attempt to land the hat-trick, albeit we hope temporarily as he will aim to line up again this Wednesday at Lingfield.

We then made the long round trip to Carlisle with Suicide Blonde and Back Tomorrow, both credible runs to finish with two seconds. Surely these are two fillies to look out for on their next starts.

On Thursday Naomi headed to the big meet at York and ran a cracker under Oisin Murphy to just lose out in a photo for second place – a cracking prospect who continues to improve and we will look to try and land a bit of black type with her on her next start – possibly in France.

We finished up the week at Newmarket on Saturday with yet another second placed 2 year old outrunning huge odds with Give It Up catching the eye under a super ride from the hard working Darragh Keenan – a proper grafter who has been a huge asset to Richard and the team this season.

Another satisfying week with one winner, three seconds and a couple of minor placings from just the eight runners.

The start of this week the team head to Doncaster for the beginning of the yearling sales, where we will be looking to strengthen our squad for next season.

Racing for us this week will then start at Lingfield on Wednesday where Neil Callen will once again partner up with Belo Horizonte and then later on the same card with Maharajas Express.

Thursday we move on to my home track at Chelmsford, with Run Boy Run and Lucky Man. Back Tomorrow holds an entry at Bath and Giant at Newcastle.

At the weekend Revich may head to his ‘home’ track at Chester and last time out winner Two Tribes may head to Chelmsford.

Fingers crossed we have a winner amongst that lot.
