“January – 20% Strike Rate”

A super performance by both Jason Hart and Back Tomorrow at Southwell last Tuesday saw us close out January with a 20% Strike Rate from Sefton Lodge. A fantastic achievement by Richard and the team who have set the standard we aim to maintain for the forthcoming season.

On Saturday we ventured on a bit of a road trip firstly to Sandown where Wonderwall (Peter Bowen) travelled like a contender only to go out like a light and the same was said of Aidan Andabettin later on at Kempton – something surely amiss with both of them which we will investigate over the coming week.

Sunday saw Juicy make the long trip to Newcastle, having fluffed the start and then stopped in running she flashed home in final strides to take fourth – painful to watch and without a doubt should have won!

Another fairly quiet week ahead with Cross The Tracks heading to Kempton on Wednesday and Shallow possibly making her seasonal reappearance on Sunday at Lingfield.

Roll With It could make his debut for Peter Bowen at Kempton on Friday.

Elsewhere we had our first foal of this season last night at The National Stud – a cracking filly by Rajasinghe out of Shesells Sanctuary.

Apologies in advance there will be no Saturday Gallops this week – we’re off to The Superbowl. . . . Viva Las Vegas.
