“Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad”

An ambitious attempt to land three winners from three runners in three days was foiled at the last when Back Tomorrow was slow away and found trouble in running but still managed to finish a clear second on Friday at Wolverhampton.

This followed a magnificent effort from Con Te Partiro at Kempton on Wednesday to score on his first attempt in handicap company. Overcoming another wide draw and forced to travel three wide for most of the race he got up under a trademark strong drive from Hollie Doyle to land our first winner for the month.

Like London buses Shallow duly followed up at Chelmsford on Thursday on only her second start. A fantastic ride from Darragh Keenan, she was forced to do it the hard way off the front and despite showing signs of greenness never looked anything but the winner. Another winner for our underrated stallion Rajasinghe and some super placing by Richard Spencer also saw us pick up another GB Bonus – a great nights work!

In the words of Meatloaf….‘Don’t be sad ‘cause two out of three ain’t bad’

This week is relatively quiet on the racing front with only a couple of possible entries in the pipeline, Cross The Tracks at Newcastle on Thursday and Back Tomorrow at Chelmsford on Saturday.

However having missed a few weeks, I am looking forward to seeing the progress of our two year old team next Saturday morning in Newmarket.
