“Come on you boys in green”

Little to shout about last week other than an enjoyable experience debuting in the Racing League for Team Ireland. Bernardo was up first and couldn’t have found more trouble in running if he tried, finishing fourth and beaten only 1 ½ lengths he surely would’ve gone close with a clear run. Waiting All Night was up next and took a step backwards from his previous run at Newmarket – probably seeing too much daylight the whole way. Looking forward to the next round and special thanks to Team Captain Kevin Blake who already after one fixture has doubled our representation for the previous entire competition!

Our old lead horse, Champagne Supanova had a day out at Chelmsford on Tuesday finishing a credible third. We then finished the week at York on Saturday with Lucky Man and Maharajas Express … we’ll leave that as one of the days that make you appreciate the good ones!

With the unusual wet weather putting pay to some of our intended running plans we have a quiet start to the week at Sefton Lodge with the action hotting up from Friday. Revich heads to Goodwood for the Golden mile under King George winning jockey Jim Crowley – if ever a horse deserves to win one of these pots it has to be this fella. On Saturday, Tyson Fury and Lucky Man both hold entries also at Goodwood and Maharajas Express at Newmarket. Whilst Wonderwall hopes to go one better on his second start on the flat at Doncaster. Two Tribes will also have an entry at Thirsk.

Sunday sees the return of the Space Cowboy at Chester where Pjanoo will also hold an entry.

Fingers crossed we can get back on the winning trail.
