FOOL'S GOLD

“Maybe, you’re gonna be that one that saves me”

The only highlight from last week was another cracking run from Wonderwall up at Doncaster. Taking another step forward he finished a pleasing second, once again beating a well fancied favourite from the Gosden stable in the process. One further run in the maiden / novice category and we will be able to move forward with our handicap plan for the rest of the season.

Elsewhere our running plans were both depleted and disappointing principally from the extreme adverse weather conditions …. but on to this week!

We start the week on Wednesday at Bath with homebred Back Tomorrow making a belated debut. Saffie Osborne takes the ride and we are hopeful for a good performance.

Later on in the day we move to Yarmouth with Suicide Blonde making her second appearance, once again under Neil Callan. The form of her debut run at Newmarket is working out quite nicely and here’s to hoping history can repeat itself, as we won this race last year with Sweet Harmony who was also having her second start.

On Thursday Bernardo dons the green jersey at Chepstow as we turn out for Team Ireland in the second round of the Racing League. Unlucky not to finish closer last time out in the first round we hope he can finish with some additional points. Elsewhere Two Tribes holds an entry at Sandown.

All roads lead to Friday when we head to HQ running a couple of exciting first time out 2 year olds in Fool’s Gold and Run Boy Run. Fool’s Gold under Hayley Turner, a half-brother to The Platinum Queen, has been attracting headlines from some work watchers for some time will be aimed at the 6 furlong Maiden. Run Boy Run, a homebred full brother to first time out winner Maharajas Express, will be aimed at the 7 furlong maiden.

Saturday we have a couple of entries at Lingfield for Bodygroove and Wonderwall, finishing up with Belo Horizonte at Windsor on Sunday.
