“New GM at HQ”

Happy New Year to all, apologies for the break in our weekly update but all has been ‘Quiet on the Sefton Front’.

Just the one runner last week with Ivory Madonna finding one to good again up at Newcastle on Thursday. That’s her fifth second and she will surely get her head in front soon.

More interestingly the first of our 2 year olds came into Sefton Lodge from pre-training at Vicarage Farm – and wow are we excited. We have 24 x 2 year olds for this season and are giving it a proper go! Bolshy prediction but this will be our best year yet.

Also new for 24 we welcome the ‘Original Boss PC’ to the team in a new role as General Manager. He opened his first week on the job in December with a 60% strike rate … More of that please.

This week we look forward to runs from Give it Up who has a couple of entries, Juicy at Chelmsford on Saturday. Wonderwall is also likely to debut for Peter Bowen at Kempton in the Lanzarote Hurdle.

Best of luck to all for 2024.
