“You Can Do It”

A quiet few days with no runners from Sefton Lodge last week gave us time to reflect on our fantastic season so far.

With the wealth of data that is now available to all it has never been as important for any business, in this instance owner(s) and trainer(s) to produce and maintain standards that set them apart from their competitors; almost 10 months into the year and it is fantastic to read that we are in the Top 10 owners by number of winners – and it would be a dream if we could stay in at least this position by the end of December. From only 129 runs we’ve been in the winner’s enclosure on a record 25 occasions (19%) and this does not include the further 7 winners I’ve enjoyed in partnerships.

Even more impressive is that on no less than 50% of the time my horses have finished in the first 4 places – a tremendous effort by all involved.

The week ahead sees us head to Wolverhampton later today with Suicide Blonde looking to get her head in front for the first time. Fool’s Gold, Lucky Man and Revich all have tentative entries at Haydock.

Another quiet one as we gear up for the start of the All Weather Championships on the 22nd October.
