Our 2026 Turf Season got underway last week as predicted, from just the four runners (all on Monday) we hit the back of the net on two occasions.
First up was Wild Thoughts making his seasonal and handicap debut at Redcar. The step up in trip and gelding operation looked to have worked wonders and he will look to back up this victory at Lingfield on Tuesday, once again under Saffie Osborne.
Later that same evening Enter Sandman made it an across the card double under a magnificent drive from George Wood, he also looks to back up this victory at Lingfield on Tuesday.
Joining him in the same race will be Saddle Up as both also have sales entries at Tattersalls on Friday. They’ll also be joined in that same catalogue by Tainted Love, Big Poppa, Teardrops, Atmosphere, Shallow and Romeo Montague – as we attempt to free up some boxes for the Class of ‘26.
Prior to that Shallow heads to Yarmouth on Tuesday and will be ridden by Silvester De Sousa.
Our first two year old runner Webopaloomop had no luck from the draw last Monday, she gets another go this Wednesday at Southwell.
Wild Thoughts holds a precautionary entry at Kempton on Thursday , with Ice Cube and Kimbara entered up at Yarmouth on the same day.
Kimbara is also entered at Newcastle on Friday.
Elsewhere, over in Australia The Next Episode heads to Eagle Farm Racecourse, Queensland for the Listed Dalrello Stakes 2 year old Plate on Saturday.
