“Keep The Faith”

A disappointing week on the track with my 4 runners underperforming for a variety of reasons to an average of over 2 stone! None was more disappointing than Righthere Rightnow who was very keen on his way down to the start and lost all chance of winning going off way too fast. We know he is a much better horse than this and will be put away and given time to mature before heading for a Guineas trial next year where he will join Yah Mo Be There. It really is a tough game sometimes and we all need to pick ourselves up and keep the faith!

The only glimmer of hope came in the form of Come On You Spurs winning at Sandown for the second time this season under a super ride from Neil Callan who rode a four-timer on the card. I’m delighted for the lads who own her as she really has put together a fine set of form figures, only once out of the frame in six starts.

This week we head to Yarmouth on Wednesday with Naomi Lapaglia for the Listed John Musker Fillies stakes, Dan Muscutt takes the ride.

Candy holds an entry at Ayr on Friday. Lucky Man and Two Tribes also head to Ayr for The Gold Cup and we’ll learn which division we qualify for (Bronze/Silver) as the week progresses; on Saturday Revich will be attempting back to back victories in the mile handicap.

Finally, Run Boy Run could head to Newbury on Saturday.
