“She’s a Killer Queen”

We had a very special visitor through the gates at Sefton Lodge yesterday afternoon when the Queen of Australian Racing, Gai Waterhouse, paid a fleeting visit to meet our very own Queen of Sefton Gold Digger. Always a privilege to meet racing legends and to be able to show them around your operation.

A quiet and uneventful week on the track culminated with Two Tribes finishing 4th at Doncaster on Saturday evening despite travelling like the winner for much of the race. Our Ascot fate is now in the lap of the handicap gods as we wait and see if we manage to scrape in the bottom of The Buckingham Palace on Thursday.

Todays Blog is being sent out later than usual as our Ascot Team went through their final paces which we will be sharing in the next couple of days as it was recorded by Smyly Media. At the time of writing, the line up remains as reported in last weeks Rebel Yell.

This week starts for us on Wednesday on the turf at Lingfield with another 2 year old debutant, Enter Sandman, in the 5 furlong restricted maiden. Also on the same card we have 3 year old debutant Alive Again in the restricted novice over 7 ½ furlongs, both will be ridden by George Wood. Also on Wednesday, Giant heads to Kempton under William Buick.

On Thursday we move on to Yarmouth with Hot Like Me and Chelmsford with Midnight City and Somebody, before finishing on Friday at Sandown with You Sexy Thing and Mwaki, our last runners before Royal Ascot.
