A fantastic day for the team last Friday with our first ever treble!
Underdog made an impressive debut at Sandown under Saffie Osborne despite spreading his front shoe at the starting gates. All being well he will head to Royal Ascot on Saturday for the Norfolk Stakes.
30 minutes later Twilight Calls landed a double for us all over the same course and distance. Dropped in grade with some superb placing by Richard Spencer, he scored his first victory for us.
A couple of near misses with Shallow beaten only 1/2 length into third at York and Kimbara second by 1/2 length back at Sandown we really were desperately close to a five timer!
Start Me Up got the job done under George Wood up at Chester to provide us with our first ever treble.
This capped a magnificent week following Rockafeller Skank’s back to back winning on Wednesday and Thursday at Yarmouth. After Cuff It had got the week off to a flying start at Windsor on Monday.
Six winners from our last ten runners is also a new record for us, it’s fantastic to see the team running into such great form ahead of this week’s Royal Meeting.
It’s looking likely that we will not make an appearance at the track until Thursday although the participation of Wild Thoughts in The Britannia and Hawksbill is hanging in the balance and will be subject to the elimination process for both of them.
Friday see’s Gold Digger take her chance in the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
Saturday we hold a few entries in The Wokingham with Two Tribes and Run Boy Run looking our most likely participants at the time of writing.
As mentioned earlier Underdog will head to The Norfolk, and Wild Thoughts may have a backup entry in The Golden Gates.
However this week’s fun isn’t limited to Ascot … back to Windsor on a Monday with RightHere RightNow and Born Slippy looking to keep up our great run at the track.
Rockafeller Skank heads to Wolverhampton on Tuesday and will be joined by Enter Sandman, and depending upon this performance ‘The Skank’ could attempt to back up again on Thursday at Lingfield or Friday at Newmarket, whilst Twilight Calls could attempt to back up on Thursday at Yarmouth.
Off track we welcomed the talented Olivia Wayne and the fantastic production team from FairPlay Exchange to Sefton Lodge on Wednesday for some pre-Ascot filming. I hope you’ve enjoyed the content so far … keep watching – there is more to come!
