Life After Love got off the mark in Avoca, Australia in impressive fashion in the early hours of Sunday morning to make it two winners from our two runners based with Ciaron Maher. A super ride from our old friend Eoin Walsh he made it look a comfortable success in a new track record time.
The Australian venture attempts to take another major step forward this Saturday when exciting colt ‘The Next Episode’ lines up a likely favourite in the Group 3 Kindergarten Stakes at Randwick.
Back home we had a quiet and uneventful week on the track with a couple of placed efforts being the highlight.
Over in Dubai our World Cup Dream came to an end with Run Boy Run having no luck from the stalls. We’ve learned over the years that it is vital for him to lead from the front and he ran no sort of race when bumped and headed leaving the gates. Once again a huge thank you to all at Racing Dubai, and all at Team Rebel in making it a magnificent if eventful experience that we hope to participate in again next year. All of our team, horses and trainer are now safely back in the UK …. and we can now concentrate on British Flat Season.
Which for us starts quietly this week with Kimbara heading to Chelmsford on Thursday for his second start.
On Good Friday with Shallow (Saffie Osborne) heads to Newcastle for the £150k Fillies and Mares AW Championships Handicap. Third in this race last year off a 4 pounds higher mark, let’s hope she can finish in the money.
