“It’s Times Like These …. “

Wow …. what a day last Friday at Newbury, our first stakes winner for a few years and even more special that all three generations were there to witness in person.

A perfect ride from the genius that is Jamie Spencer, perfectly prepared and living up to the expectations of Richard Spencer and all of the team at Sefton Lodge. I’m even more delighted that we are not even 12 months into our 3-year plan and we’ve achieved our first ‘Black Type’. Of the 14 yearlings bought at last year’s sales by Anthony Bromley with Richard, only 5 have ran to date – 3 have already won and now one of those is a stakes winner with so much potential. All have been magnificently pre-trained by Megan and Adam Kirby and the team at Vicarage Farm.

Thank you to you all … and thank you to the main man himself ‘Yah Mo Be There’.

This week starts for us on Tuesday at Lingfield with Candy (James Doyle) making his handicap debut and then on to Wolverhampton for Aidan Andabettin (Billy Loughnane).

On Thursday we don the green jersey once again for team Ireland with the start of this year’s Racing League at Yarmouth. At the time of writing we could be involved in both of Ireland’s representatives in the 6 furlong handicap with Good Good Good (George Boughey) and Cross The Tracks (Richard Spencer) looking likely participants.

Naomi Lapaglia could step up in grade on Saturday at Ascot in the Group 3 Valiant Stakes.

… and then we’re on to Glorious Goodwood.
