“It’s That Time”

Another quiet week on the track for the team from Sefton lodge with just the one runner in Con Te Partiro looking like he didn’t stay the 1m 6f at Southwell last Wednesday. Hopefully he’ll be in receipt of some respite from the handicapper to allow him the chance of another victory in the near future.

More excitingly off the track and with the season just one week away it was that time of year when the professional jockeys have a ‘feel’ of some of the more talented members of our squad. Yah Mo Be There (Jamie Spencer) and RightHere RightNow (George Wood) had a blow up the Al Bahathri behind stable legend Keyser Soze, all of the team are delighted with their progress. One lot earlier George Wood also had a sit on new recruit Twilight Calls as he builds up in preparation of a stable debut in the Palace House Stakes on Guineas weekend.

Earlier on in the week a few of our first wave 2 year olds had a spin around Lingfield – huge thanks to all of the jockeys who helped out and all being well we hope to see a few of these lads debuting in April.

This week we have just the one entry with I Follow Rivers heading to Lingfield on Friday hoping to break our Duck for March, albeit from only 5 runners.

Whilst we intend to swerve next weekend’s opening meeting at Doncaster, I cannot wait for April where we are scheduled to run more horses than in the previous 3 months combined!
