“It’s Like Candy”

A fantastic performance by Candy in the Class 2 Nursery Handicap up at Ayr on Friday gave us another winner last week. Backing up his recent victory at Newbury, once again under a fantastic ride from George Wood, he travelled strongly and ran out a comfortable 2 ½ length winner in a fast time. He holds an entry in the Redcar Two-Year-Old Trophy on the 5th October and that could be where we see him next.

This followed on from an impressive performance from Naomi Lapaglia to finish second in the John Musker Fillies Listed Stakes at Yarmouth on Wednesday. Dropped in behind under a magnificent ride from Dan Muscutt she finished with a rattle to find only one too good in a new track record time. This was her first attempt at 1m 2 furlongs and she will now head to St. Cloud for the Prix Dahlia – doesn’t she deserve to win one?

This week we head to Kempton on Wednesday with Giant under The Iron Man Neil Callan, looking to build on his 40% strike rate for us this year.

On Friday Aidan Andabettin heads back to Wolverhampton, the venue of his last course and distance victory, this time under Dan Muscutt who had previously won on him earlier in the year.

On Saturday we hope to have our first runner in The Cambridgeshire at HQ with Waiting All Night.
