“I Know They’re Watchin …”

A magnificent performance and another perfect ride by George Wood (5 from 22) saw Sex On Fire get his head in front at Southwell last Wednesday and in doing so took the team at Sefton Lodge to 33 winners for the season.

A superb bit of race planning by Richard Spencer stepping this previous course winner up a furlong and back into novice company for his eighth start.

Eclipsing our previous best total of 32 winners in 2018 and achieved with 30% less runs and generating 25% more prize money this really is our best season yet …. with 6 weeks still to go to build on that total.

On a personal note it makes it even more satisfying to see a plan that was put together last year all come together, with no shortage of hard work from Richard and the team it’s great to see the rewards.

This week Con Te Partiro heads to Lingfield on Tuesday with ‘The Iron Man’ Neil Callan looking to build on his 31% strike rate for us this season. A last time course and distance winner and up 5 pounds for his efforts, he attempts to gain his sixth victory of the year.

On Thursday Waiting All Night (George Wood) heads to Southwell and Run Boy Run will have an entry at Wolverhampton on Sunday.
