“I Believe In Miracles ….”

What a week! What a month!

You Sexy Thing landed the spoils on Saturday with a comfortable success under ‘the’ perfect ride by Saffie Osborne at Sandown. Coming from last to first on suitable ground for the first time in his career he defied being the rag in this depleted event and looks to have a promising end to the season ahead.

Our second 2 year old winner of the week following Born Slippy’s comfortable victory at Ffos Llas on Thursday. This time under a fantastic first ride for us by Callum Hutchinson , and what an introduction having only been called up at the eleventh hour. Hopefully we’ll be able to call upon his services again in the near future.

This closed out the month of August with a 20% strike rate, just under a £1/4 million in prize money and a 1, 4, 5 in the Stewards Cup. A huge thankyou to all at Team Rebel.

Off of the track we had a successful trip to our first yearling sale of the year at Doncaster. A lucky sale for us in the past having been the source of Cockney Rebel, Rajasinghe, Rumble IntheJungle and more recently Yah Mo Be There. Leading purchaser for the second year in succession we came away with four colts and four fillies who are now up with Adam and Megan Kirby for the next stage of their career. Thank you once again to Anthony Bromley and Richard Spencer – let’s hope we’ve found a champion.

This week I’m looking forward to joining the sales team at Tattersalls on Tuesday for the Somerville sale where we hope to add to the Class of ‘26.

A fairly quiet week ahead on the track starting today at Windsor with Somebody (Saffie Osborne) in the 6 furlong nursery. Having been placed second on 3 occasions from 6 runs, let’s hope he can break his duck.

Rapper’s Delight (Saffie Osborne) and Teardrops (Rab Havlin) head to Southwell on Tuesday for the 5 furlong novice.

Candy could head to Ascot on Saturday and Mwaki to Wolverhampton.

And if you missed it we are recruiting for our next exciting adventure …. Team Rebel Dubai …. CVs to Beth please!
