…. and Happy Birthday to all of our horses and to myself! It’s a little known fact that the 1st January is an anniversary date that we share and whilst I’m definitely a year older I’m certainly much wiser!
Chapter 55 was a great one and will be hard to beat but we feel we’ve assembled a squad for this season that will certainly give it a good go.
Starting for us at Meydan on Friday where the Dubai season really kicks off. First up in the six furlong 85-105 handicap we have entered as expected the ‘Three Musketeers’ , however they could also be joined by our very own D’Artagnan in the form of RightHere RightNow – a very close second on his first run out here and raised 4 pounds for that effort. Look out for the newly-acquired orange cap should it need to be introduced.
Next up could be Start Me Up in the 7 furlong three year old Conditions stakes. Unlucky to have been held wide from a bad draw he looked to be travelling well when George lost his irons and miraculously saved himself from what could have been a serious injury.
Everyone loves a grey, everyone loves a Frankel and last up could be a Rebel debut for NightWalker in the One Mile Six furlong Turf Conditions race.
Back home our race days remain quiet with a couple of possible entries for Space Cowboy and Somebody next weekend. Behind the scenes 2026 comes alive over the next couple of weeks as the yard repopulates from returning spellers …. and the Class of ‘26.
