Great Balls of Fire (!) made a winning a debut at Newmarket on Saturday in impressive style under George Wood. Sent off the 6/4 favourite, he duly delivered and looks an exciting prospect.
Elsewhere, we had a tremendously successful week landing third place in the Doncaster Sales Race at York with Speed of Sound and second place in the Tattersalls Somerville sales race with Zigazig Ah. Both efforts earned us circa £130k in prize money.
Zigagzig Ah has taken her winnings this season to £250k from only five starts – not bad for a homebred bought back for only 13,000 guineas.
This week starts for us at Newbury on Wednesday with Starburster having her second start in the fillies’ maiden. Fourth on her sole start at Windsor, let’s hope she can get her head in front at the second time of asking in what looks a competitive event.
Enter Sandman holds an entry at Lingfield on Thursday.
Friday sees Motown Filly, second in Starburster’s Windsor maiden, head to Goodwood. Underdog could go to Sandown.
Saturday Wopbopaloobop is entered at Windsor and on Sunday Rapper’s Delight could go to Goodwood.
