A second win of the month for The Flying Spurs Lads and Come on You Spurs at Epsom yesterday brings the monthly strike rate for Richard Spencer and the team at Sefton Lodge up to an impressive 24%.
A foot perfect ride from the GOAT Oisin Murphy saw this cracking filly land the performance of the week and join Candy in notching up a brace of wins for the month.
Conveniently the race time slotted perfectly into the interval at Old Trafford where Spurs absolutely spanked Manchester United to land an historic 10/1 Spurs double.
This followed a couple of solid runs at Newmarket on Saturday where Waiting All Night could do no more than win his side in The Cambridgeshire and the consistent Run Boy Run picked up a few more quid finishing fourth. This pair of tough horses have had fantastic season’s and are a credit to their underutilised stallion – Rajasinghe.
As the weather turns and our turf season begins to come to a close we have fewer entries this week, but a couple of exciting ones.
Naomi Lapaglia heads to Saint Cloud on Friday for the Listed Prix Dahlia under Dan Muscutt, and Candy heads to Redcar on Saturday for The Listed Two-Year-Old Trophy under George Wood.
Fingers crossed we can pick up some Black Type.
