“Rajasinghe is Free”

A quiet couple of weeks on the track but plenty of action off of it. A productive meeting with The National Stud last Friday culminated with our plan to stand Rajasinghe for ‘Free’ for this covering season. Launched only yesterday we’ve definitely attracted the attention of both breeders and the media and at the time of writing we’ve already doubled the number of bookings for the year. I’d really like to thank those of you that have sent such supportive messages and even more those that have decided to send their mares. Sometimes it pays to think outside of the box!

Saturday morning saw one of my favourite times of the year on Warren Hill Gallops when we released this season’s team of two year olds. Whilst obviously too early to make any accurate predictions on levels of ability and at risk of ‘leading with my chin’, I believe this could be our best team yet. With the flat season less than 2 months away time will pass very quickly. Thanks again to Megan and Adam Kirby and all of the team at Vicarage Farm who once again have done a magnificent job in breaking and pre-training.

A couple of runners this week with Waiting All Night entered at Newcastle on both Friday and Saturday over 7 furlongs and One Mile respectively – preference currently for Friday. Midnight City looks to break his duck at Southwell on Saturday.
