“3 Is The Magic Number”

Run Boy Run capped off a fantastic week at Sefton Lodge becoming our third winner in five days under a magnificent ride by Saffie Osborne. Having led from the start he was headed inside the final furlong only to show gutsy determination to get back up and win by a neck.

Less than 24 hours earlier Waiting All Night was also victorious over the same course and distance under a perfect ride from Rab Havlin. Prominent throughout he picked things up from a furlong out to come home comfortably.

I love having winners at Newmarket and to have two in as many days, both homebreds and both sired by our stallion Rajasinghe who stands only 400 meters away at The National Stud makes it even more special. My heartfelt thanks to both jockeys, Richard Spencer and all at Team Rebel and The Rebel Stud.

Earlier on in the week another homebred, Con Te Partiro, landed the spoils at Lingfield for the fourth time this year. A masterful ride by Neil Callan saw him lead from over 2 furlongs from home and out battle a late challenge from the second horse despite giving him almost a stone in weight.

A great week for both the training yard and the breeding operation!

This week we’re quiet until the weekend, and then it’s back up to the Newmarket July Course for a couple of two year old debutants.

First up is Righthere Rightnow entered in the 7 furlong maiden for unraced horses and 35 minutes later it’s the turn of Midnight City in the 6 furlong Maiden. Let’s hope both can give account of themselves.

On Saturday Naomi Lapaglia fresh from her Group 3 placing could head to Haydock for the Listed Dick Hern Stakes, fingers crossed she can continue on the upgrade and get her head in front.
